[Attention] Android 7 info updating

    I wish I knew the answer Eric. The one thing I have noticed is the NVShield (USA Company) and the Vero 4K which is powered by OSMC which is open source and European (I believe) get constant updates, the Vero with OSMC has amazing support. I myself had a slight issue with HDR banding and Sam on the forums sent me a hotfix I could apply using the OSMC software which sorted my issue before it was pushed into new firmware. Amazing support.

    Maybe the Chinese market is all about initial sales and then they push more into releasing new hardware onto the market rather than supporting the hardware that is currently available.

    I do not know maybe it is the Chinese way of thinking I know if it was over here the company would be taken to court or splashed all over the front pages off our newspaper or go bust I just presume the Chinese expect this worts and all

    Using both Egreat A5 and Zidoo Z9S , Zidoo is steadier and hw is better also the connectivity/ports. Just like Rick his analysis, now i only have the Zidoo so mutch better...

    @Morgan why all this silence ? this is getting very problematic, customers wont ever trust egreat again if nothing is done ASAP...at least tell us if:

    - android 7 stable will ever be released
    - vidon development is dead or not
    - are there any plans to ditch old players and put out new ones with good FW

    with internet, the news of disappointment will spread across all the world...

    The guy hasn't visited these forums in almost a month....
    Most horrible support from any any single company in the world ever. It makes me furious!

    I don't think any of your questions will get any response, much less a positive one.

    I wouldn't trust this "company" ever again. They're clearly over...

    Users would be satisfied if from the beginning we knew what we were in for. Instead we paid premium money on the premise of false promises that were made time and again. Instead they won't even gratify us with an answer.

    This situation just verifies what I've long feared. We've fallen victims to a bunch of opportunists.

    I apologise to the rest of the members for this moaning, but I've had it. I'll make it my purpose to make this situation known to all forums having to do with media players so no more people get tricked by their empty promises on their ridiculously expensive stuff.

    Such a shame for an otherwise excellent product in terms of hardware

    You can report me if you feel offended. Fist of all nobody from the staff (the what now) will ever know or care (they don't even visit this place), secondly even if anybody does, I don't anymore

    I have been saying this for a mth or so then i get Egreat fanboy Rozel come down on me like a stack of shit for being rude to Egreat ( God what Planet is he living on They do not care about your media player or you ) I have been proved 100%right now Egreat does not give a shit about anybody or care what happens with your players software . I do go on to there face book and tried to get Answers I get a basic one Like " We are working on it" when I ask about the forum and no one on there I get NOTHING! all they say on there is about there A13 being shipped to Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippians and the latest one USA they will not sell there. The Americans have tried Egreat and it will be a BIG NO NO especially with Android 5.1 Egreat seem to get very excited about there new A1 voice activation at the moment on there A13 I will not apologise what I say about Egreat on here (1) Because I do not like being ripped off (2) be giving promises dates etc and nothing happens. THIS FORUM IS BEING KEPT ALIVE ONLY BY US! Not Egreat we are just talking to ours self's

    hi Eric... Just back from Thailand. I bought me an x10 from Zidoo there and for me this at the moment is the best alternative to my A5. As you perhaps remember i bought me a Z10 from Zidoo just before i left and as it was then a new released player it had many issues with its software. It still does .. So I decided to buy an X10 cheap in Thailand.. audio keeps updating its older players too ..so if you still looking for an alternate player look for the X10. its easy available in Bangkok
    my only remaining A5 i use for full menu 4k and for the rest x10 from audio. The Z10 is for sale should anybody be interested...pm me

    Hi Nucky I am not going to bother anymore with these Media players any more after the my A8 goes tits up I am touching 70 now and at my time life it is to short for worrying about Crappy media players coming from China I tried to ask a simple Q on here about a problem with a film I got on my player The film in qQ is " FURY " I have it on my poster wall but also on Unavailable list as well. what I wanted to do is get rid of it on Unavailable list Egreat did not come to my rescue I thought someone would answer on here but no. This my own thinking on here just what I think Most of the guys on here are great ( Well the ones left anyway ) I Pretty sure the Egreat are finished with this forum there will be no more software/hardware updates any more for the Egreat players well for the UK anyway . There main concern is China and ASIA and nobody else I hope I am wrong but I have been on this planet to long to know someone is taking the PISS WITH US and does not care just seen this https://www.facebook.com/egreatworld/

    @Eric The Viking i see...but what about A5 and A10 ?! and why do they update FB and not their official forum and @Morgan is nowhere to be found...

    A8 was sold as being WITHOUT iso menu's !!!!! as it was low cost...now Egreat says it has iso menus because of android 7 ?!!!! what the hell ??!!

    @E_CS any ideas on the status ?
    why did we buy A5 then if its the same as A8 that is cheaper ?!!

    This what Egreat Tech say and this is what I asked them Does that mean the A8 I own is no good now with its still faulty 5.1 software that you have not fixed as you say you have fished with 5.1 with no more improvements They repiled No your A8 is still good but different. I do not know what that means I then ask them about the faulty Android software and ask are you going to fix that the Reply I got back was Egreat is celebrating this day I have sent them more Q but I doubt if I will hear anything until tomorrow

    They cleary say that it is for old a8 too eric.. So why do you say your a8 is useless !???!!

    I am not saying that my A8 is fairly good it is just stuck with this 5.1 software as you know still has problems. As I read it " We have already finished the upgrades for the old A8 and brought out this A8 pro now this is a conpletly new player its bigger for one and blu Ray supported where my A8 did not have that is why it is cheaper as i do not use the menu that is fine for me . by the pictures I have seen it seems full size bigger than my A8 so to me it reads no more upgrades for the old player which means no Andriod 7 or fix the faults which 5.1 has

    We have our colleague working forums , i'm only in charge on this facebook As you know , we already have A5 in Android 7Beta , A8Pro in Android 7 official . Which means we do making progress here , please kindly have faith on us . Some problem just need time to fix it , thank you so much for your support

    At € 279,00 the price is similar to a Zidoo Z10 which is reasonable. Provided the FW is correct it will be a very competitive box.
    Remarkable detail: The OS specified there is Android 5.1. and not Android 7.
