I have a consistent problem with movies getting to hold and next buffering when playing 4K UHD/HDR/Atmos movies. This is the case with all movies using this combined format. It depends how the HDD is connected for the severeness:
    - USB2: The movie will stop regularly, time out en next starting filling the buffer again. Interruptions are very long.
    - USB3: Now mostly only the sounds hicks up regularly.
    - SATA: plays mostly without interruptions.
    - NAS? Did not try.

Even USB2 is more than fast enough to keep up the video+audio streams so it must be the way buffering is done. With regular BD and 3D-BD never see this.

Expect this to happen on other models too but don't have those.

After updating to the latest firmware on my A10 (via OTA), I get annoying interruptions of the video (UHD 4K Full Discs and mkv Encoded) during the reproduction. Source is internal HDD.
Note that my Onkyo is showing no signal during this interruptions, and then the video starts after 1 or 2 seconds.
NEVER experienced this problems with the previous firmware. I don't know if it is a buffering problem, but it's very annoying.

It might sound stupid, but I've figured out that playing all of my UHD 4k isos via "All Files" and not via "Movies" works without any problem. Before I've figured that out I've had exactly the same issues with those drop outs.
May be you can try it yourself and post your experience.

Thanks for the hint McBluna, but I only play contents using "All Files" because I want to browse quickly.
    The problem persists :(

Use All Files also as a habit. This to be flexible in playing any content.
