    @E_CS
since i installed 3.0.6.9 upon every reboot i have an annoying pop up WINDOW "CETUSplay" asking me to clean or skip (to gain 0mb of storage) it comes up every time i tried everything; clean cache, uninstall etc...nothing seems to fix this

if anyone has ideas please ....
the last thing i did not try is cleaning like you told me in PM

First check if is not rely true, Egreat A5 have ~3.8GB for device storage on f/w v3.0.6.x and Kodi/Google apps/Egreat can consume a lot.
As alternative try use CetusPlay old version from Egreat Android 5.1.1 update.zip f/w with disable update from Google Play then see what is happens.
I remember CetusPlay have from long time ago problems with popup annoying windows messages then contact help@cetusplay.com, maybe their will corrected/explained what is going on CetusPlay application.

PS: Uninstall Egreat Settings application as user application what is was use for testing translation will not free more then 22MB.

Regarding the HDMI-CEC issue I mentioned before, I have found that it still partly works just like previous firmwares. What I mean is that in order for the rest of my setup to use it the player still needs to be on, but with the new firmware the order I need to use to turn on the devices has changed. Now the A10 needs to be turned on first and then my TV and receiver..

Weird but at least it works....

@depmesh CEC always worked that way in general i mean : the ORDER changes according to each TV, AVR, bluray player, model etc....
on a side note, what is your receiver ?

    I'm using a Yamaha rx-2060.
Nothing's changed in my setup yet the order I need to turn them on did.

HDMI-CEC is an integral part of the Android OS and changes with every Android generation. None is a correct/flexible implementation (like with many other implementations).

Sorry but I came back to the forum after a while to see if there was any news about the firmware.
I own an Egreat A5 and I'm stopped at version 1.3.0.9 (Android 5) which is the most stable version for my use.
How do I upgrade to version 3.0.6.9? I didn't understand what Egreat Desktop 3.8.4 and Egreat player 6.7 are... Can you summarize the new features more clearly? Thank you very much for your support!

@Spiro185 there is really nothing to do....install the latest version, (CFW 3.0.6.9) choosing carefully the right file for your device once downloaded unzip....then install FW on boot (details are on this forum) via usb

    voila !

Haha. It is not simple. The move from Android 5 => Android 7 is the big trick as it is extremely picky on the USB stick used. Most sticks won't work for this, don't ask me why.
Going from one Android 7 FW to the next one is as easy as updating Android 5 versions.

Well monkey like I said USB stick was an issue in android 7 beta. For Android 7 final..I used a USB stick that did not work before...

It is an issue on installing any Android 7 version coming from Android 5 as the bootloader and partitioning must be changed prior to installing the new FW (it in fact is a 2-step upgrade process). That is the big issue. Once done any stick will work again for all Android 7 updates as you experienced.

As you "stopped at version 1.3.0.9 (Android 5) which is the most stable version" why to change working system?
Real benefit of Android 7 is can play cropped HDR mkv/mp4(3840x1600) files without back bar bug if need that format.
In additions can be consider as plus for Android 7 support of Super Audio CD (SACD) in ISO file.

With Android 7 Scaling and HDR are not conflictive anymore. Music Player is a lot better and a fairly good Egreat Controller APP can be used on the phone.

Hi everyone and thank you for yours answers.
For my use the only limitation that the current Android 5 fw has is the double black bar bug with my hdr rip. How can I fix this bug and have the same current configuration?

    Thanks
