The latest JVC projectors show this information under the source information. The only media player I've found that sends this is the Himedia Q10 which uses the same chipset as this so it should be possible to implement.

The movies are including MaxCLL and MaxFALL data, its a fixed number for the whole movie, for the calculation of that number they scan all uncompressed master file (before the encoding to YCbCr).

Since most of the displays are not capable to display 1000/1100/4000 nits (monitors used for mastering), there display where see these numbers (MaxCLL/MaxFALL) and count these values to their internal tone/gamut mapping.

So the movie will look different if you have these numbers zeros or with correct data coming from the studio.

The problem with Egreat is that it's ignoring these numbers and send zero's to the display.

Would be interesting to know what anybody thinks Nenito2k but it would appear they can't be *****

For the software guys, I have a couple of clear and persistent problems with the OS. first is that after watching something there is a very long pause before it returns to the folder or cover page, often resulting in a popup saying it is not responding do I want to wait or cancel.

Second I had a had drive installed and have several links on my PC to the folders on it so I can copy files to the player. If I plug a usb stick into the player the next time I try to access one of the folders on my PC I am told it no longer exists, because the player has re assigned it. This is not acceptable

    Anyone else seeing these problems?

Android OS is a Linux base OS, are few topic on this forum where I written about order of mount can't be controlled on Android OS.
Another point is samba server is not plug and play server, so is restarting every time when USB device is connect/disconnect in order to make visible/invisible new attached/disconect disk. For Linux base OS are acceptable solution. If you need fix mount point search for "[PATCH] Mount storage by UUID / Label" and give a try of version 1.0.6 witch user reported to work fine on Egreat device.
