Dear eGreat support team. Could you please eventually solve the problem with insufficient file system permissions for built-in Transmission application. All Transmission system folders are read only! Therefore the Transmission application is not able to change and save its own settings (settings.json). As a result you can not apply changes for download location (it remains folder on SDCard) and change it for example to external HDD. This is well known problem and it really makes this very good device (from technical point of view) into a mediocre media player with limited usage.

My Egreats A10 and A11 are still my favourite players to play Pixar movies like Toy Story 4 UHD. Plays it flawless which I can't say from my Zidoo. :)
All to do with Seamless Branching and BD Menu support. Egreat is still the best there for sure if you play 1:1 BD copies with or without menu. On all other fronts it has been passed by now. Such a pity for the nice players which they really are.

My A10 is running a customized Android 7 build with the latest PW3 version added manually. The A11 runs the latest FW update for Android 5 with PW3 integrated. Differences are not that big in practice.

    @Nice Monkey
I agree .....for Bluray files WITH menu it is the best. For the rest: kodi..music..etc...forget it.

I sold my two Egreats about 1 year ago and got me a Zidoo. Just 2 months ago I bought me a secondhand Egreat A5 for 40 Euro. Now into buying...again secondhand...an A10. But more then 100 Euro I will not pay for it. For the price I paid for my A5 I have no complaints. The other two I bought new and paid the crazy price Egreat asks....and then I felt and still feel cheated. The Egreats are...for what they deliver way overpriced. My tip: buy them cheap and you will feel much better.

This update is a disaster, it is unacceptable that they do not test the updates before launching them, they show little professionalism, and we no longer say not answering the doubts of the users.

Could someone tell me how to go back to the previous version?

    Thanks in advance.

Install v1.0.7 that will fully wipe setting/userdata/etc, then install witch Android 5.1.1 firmware you like.

i told long ago @Iron man and egreat to STOP android 5 as they don't have the knowledge and ressources to make 1 FW let alone 2 ! but no, they still want to continue android 5, and here are the results !

Well, again I am in 1.3.1.6
So at least I have it in my language and the covers and others are loaded in Spanish ..... that with this update disaster I had everything changed, anyway.

    Hi,

Did anyone succeed to downgrade from 2.5.0.2 to this firmware? I tried directly, and also tried to downgrade to 1.1.0.7 with the forced boot up procedure, same result: seems to start OK, activity led blinks on my USB flash drive, but then, several hours later it's still there, blinking, and nothing else. I have nothing on the TV screen, but I didn't see the green robot even with older updates with this method which worked fine. USB drive is an old 1GB formatted in FAT32 of course.

    Thanks.

No way to get back from Android 7 to Android 5. I have the same problem. for that a special migration FW must be made. Have seen it with other brands running on the same SOC.

Yes can downgrade on this way, try to connect USB3.0 port inside on USB2.0.

No idea how to read this? I have the problem using an A10 which only has 1 USB2.0 and 1 USB3.0 port both at the back. None of these do work for downgrading. I do still have FW 1.1.07 if that behaves differently for downgrades?

The big problem with A10 is that wireless (WiFI + BT) does not work at all with Android 7.
