Hi buddy - With my A11, I have my 2 NASs connected via NFS as I have never ever been able to connect them up to my Windows 7/10 Desktop PC and local Network via the SAMBA (SMB) protocol. They are not password protected and can be found easily using the "Find Server" (or is it "Find NFS Share"? or something like that) and after inserting the IP Adress etc, I'm in as it were. I only ever go into this whenever I change my Router/Broadband Provider so the screen is a little vague in my memory right now and my better half is currently using the TV. I would imagine this screen would have an input option if they were password protected. I will have a delve later and check my setup and post a screen or two. Hope this will help. I am in the UK enjoying the joys of Lock-Down (not) :( :( :(

Hi rozel, thanks for your reply mate, would appreciate if you could have a look please just in case my image is stuffed or something. I can't leave my network drive with no password or user name as it serves several other computers in my home with peoples private stuff on.
I am fairly certain that several images ago there used to be a pop up which asked for the user name and password when you manually set up NFS share, there is one for CIFFS, but all I get on the manual set up is IP and share folder?
same if you select the folder from the network search, no password request and so it just says "Unable to connect to the requested share" I would like to use NFS as it is faster and more secure.
I'm locked down in the UK too :-(

Would be nice if an admin helped too.

Hi - just had 30 mins looking through my system and sorry to say I cannot find anything. As I said my NASs are not Passworded and when I "Add NFS Share" and then add the IP Adress and name of Share (folder on NAS) in the subsequent screen it just adds it and it's available on Main Screen. When you type in the IP Address and "Confirm", what happens then? I would have though another options screen should pop up allowing you to supply further information, does it not?

    Sorry I cannot help further

Ah of course, if you are not password protected then it wouldn't ask you anyway, No I get the same screen as you, nothing asking for a password or popping up, but if you are not passworded it maybe wouldn't anyway, thanks for caring enough to check yours for me mate.
