Interesting how Rita's post stating there will be new firmware next week has been deleted! Are we to presume that the statement was not correct then?

Hee hee, yes we kinda guessed that Rita, but it would be nice if you were up front and truthful about it instead of deleting posts and pretending you didn't say anything, we wouldn't mind, we understand that delays happen.

    Hello
A11 looks like good equipment, and I'm interested in it. However, I have a few questions. If anyone knows please answer.
    1. GUI Poster 2.0 if it reads information from .nfo KODI files. I already have this information in folders, including posters and fanarts. If Poster 2.0 will scan it or need to download it from the Internet?
    2. If a11 plays SACD.iso and DVD-Audio?
    3. If the supplied remote control also supports Vidon XBMC
    4. If a11 reads information from MKV files (names of audio tracks, flags, chapter titles)
    5. If it plays files from the NAS server smoothly, through the home network (scrolling, playback etc.)

    @Zwanzig
    1. Poster 2.0 read nfo, poster, fanart exported to separate files from Kodi library and if not get it will scan over internet to The Movie Database (TMDb).
    ex:FileName.nfo, FileName-fanart.jpg, FileName-poster.jpg
    2. No. is point 21 on Egreat A5/A10 BUGTRACKER & WISHLIST Thread!
    3. Yes
    4. Yes
    5. Yes, NFS protocol recommended then SAMBA.

Don't forgot to read bug list for Egreat A5/A10 all apply to Egreat A11 too.

Its funny, I know that NFS is better for this box, due to issues, but I'm sticking with SAMBA, with NFS I kept losing the mount to my NAS, and when I would try to connect again.. kept getting an error about cannot mount.

Ok, thank you E_CS for your reply and hint (Bug list) :)
For now, I use 1080p mkv movies and I think that should be enough. I care about the fluency of NAS playback and the fluidity of viewing the movie library either in Poster 2.0 or Vidon XBMC. By the time I buy TV 4k I think bugs can solve. By the end of the year I have a chance to buy A11 12% cheaper.
The description states that it supports HDD up to 8TB, I have 10TB drives - I do not know if A11 supports it (as internal and external) ??
    I greet everyone

Woow 10TB HDD inside of media player I don't event want to think how is to do recovery on them if will need. I wish never happens to you do recovery on 10TB.
Sorry for off topic just remember about MFM HDD 10/20MB let's add some fun here, Old Hard Disk Adverts.
Possible to work if is not native 4K sectors and have at least 2 partitions. From PC over samba not possible to see more then 8.796.093.022.208 bytes (8TB)/partition.

Well, you scared me :) I never took into account that I could lose data (maybe because it never happened to me)

"At $100 for 128 kilobytes, the price of 64 Gigabytes- the capacity - would cost over 51 million dollars." :)

So, with a disk up to 8TB, there may be one partition and at least 10 partitions on a 10TB disk? and will it be OK? Which file system to choose?
Although I have not bought A11 yet, I prefer to get to know it first and then do not regret it. At the moment I have Matantz nr1607 and Nas Asustor 202T used as a player (but this is a tragedy). Asustor I would only leave as a server (movie database) and A11 would be Player (internal drive as an extension).
Do you think there is a difference in the smoothness of the playback on Egreat A11 - internal disc Vs. NAS server?
