I have a 65" SDR 4K Samsung tv. Moust 4K material theese days are in HDR. When I use my current media player I get washed out/faded colors on HDR material becouse my media player and TV dont support HDR. I have heard that the A5 can do something about this so the colors are better on a SDR tv? Anyone knows. If it can wiht satisfied result I think of buying one. Its cheeper than replace the tv :) Thanks.

Hello @McBluna and @oSTEPOPP , if you play the HDR content on A5 to non HDR TV, it should be okay, no problem.

guys what is the point of playing HDR content on a TV that can't do it anyway ?
  9. That is not what we asked instead of wasting time replying about something we did not ask ask you could simply post the section about our question

Thanks @Rita for the answer. I think i will give the A5 a go ;) Can you explain how its done, the HDR to SDR?

@nenito2k : There is no point to play HDR on a non HDR tv. You are right there. The result is terrible. Washed out colors. What I want is to convert the HDR to SDR so its watchable on my 4K SDR tv becouse I want to watch 4K resolution moveies and tv shows. Quality is better :) If you dont know moust 4K material now only comes out in 4K HDR and not plain 4K (SDR) anymore. So my alternatives then is to not watch 4K anymore, only 1080p since 1080p dont have HDR or get a media player like the A5 if the result is ok. The other option is to replace the tv but its mutch more expencive. Get it?
