we all want the DV update but egreat said when it happens they will say...and they also said that DOLBY is aiming TV/bluray players first.
try emailing dolby and ask them for the update for the hisilicon SOC (not egreat!)

Dolby are giving licence to some more TV manufacturers and bluray players..let us hope Egreat can get one quickly.
Also Dolby has just given the licence to the first media player: APPLE TV
If media players have DV, it WILL help the FORMAT become much more common !
Any news from @Dennis would be welcome

wish egreat would update us since 4k blurays are cracked and apple tv can do DV
sadly, apple TV can't do full iso bluray and menu
    so egreat wins
but they aren't taking advantage of that

you must have a dolby vision compatible screen to see the picture otherwise you do not see it :)

    What does mean for us?
Do you think we will see DV soon? I bought a oppo 203 but it's detecting cinavia on my 4k movies and so DV can't be played.

Any updates from the staff would be really appreciated it.

It means if hi silicone is willing to pay a contribution they may using the DV theoretically. But new software will definitely causing new problems so back to basics i think...

Greetings. I would love to buy an Egreat A11 but there is still nothing on Dolby Vision :( Could someone maybe get an official statement out of Dolby Laboratories on when or IF they even bring the good stuff on mediaplayers? Buying an expensive A11 without DV would be well suboptimal.

At CES Dolby was very big in saying that their ecosystems grows and the usual Blabla. So @Rita are there any news for DV update on this SoC?

i also read that the new 2018 AMLOGIC Soc - the S922 - features DV as native (unlike the old ones that can only do passthrough...)

Any updates about DV support- It seems like Egreat doesn't care about DV anymore

Dolby vision was the only reason that I bought Egreat because of how it was promouted back then and I am not saying that I am upset but it has been a very long time since I bought it and nothing has ever changed since then about the DV situation.

I think that Egreat should put DV in their hiest prioreties to achieve

HiSilicon prove on January 2016 with prototype f/w for SoC Hi3798CV200 can play Dolby Vision standard of 2015, after this when HiMedia Q10 Pro release to market Dolby Vision was be removed because Dolby Laboratories doesn't give DV licence for media players.
From 2016 are a lot of branded TV, AVR are advertising as DV compatible with f/w update request, but f/w with DV support still not come after almost 2 years.
Dolby Laboratories doesn't give DV license to all most nobody on 2016, on began of 2017 they push a updated version of Dolby Vision standard(2016) and slow give licensed to some brands for TV and blu-ray disc players.
When Dolby Laboratories start given license to media player devices then maybe HiSilicone will start license SoC Hi3798CV200 with DV, for now as I know only Apple 4K TV have DV license.

Dolby Vision support and license are not connect to Egreat/HiMedia company until Dolby Laboratories will allow HiSilicon to license SoC Hi3798CV200 with DV feature.

    Disclaimer:
    - This are personal observation about Dolby Vision support on HiSilicon base device over last years. I'm not employer of Egreat/HiMedia/HiSilicon company.
    - Dolby Vision is a trademark of Dolby Laboratories.
