    Good morning,
I purchased a Sony Ht-zf9 soundbar with Dolby Atmos to which I connected the A5, to my surprise I can not hear the sound!
I tried to change all the settings, enabling the Passtrought, etc, but nothing!
There seems to be problems with the HDMI Arc socket, only using the optical cable together can I get the Dolby DTS or Dolby Digital track, but not the Atmos.
No other source, bluray, Sky decoder, gives me this problem, so it's definitely due to the A5.
I read that it is a problem of some A5 readers, but also of the A10 and A11, other users have solved using a HDMI-CEC killer ?!
I would like to find a solution that is not selling Egreat!
Maybe Rita can solve the 'serious' problem with a firmware update?
    Thank you

    AV pioneer VSX932+ A5 + TV65PUS6521 = Dolby Atmos все в порядке

It 's been my mistake and not A5, the HDMI Arc port does not handle the Dolby Atmos and True HD,
you have to attach it directly to a HDMI port of the soundbar but not the Arc!
    Now everything works!

If that were true then how come my XBOX One X works fine with Dolby Atmos tracks? I have a Denon 4300x receiver. I get audio but only 7.1 not 7.2/4 The receiver will not activate the dolby channels. When playing a UHD on my XBOX i dont have this issue. Both the XBOX and the A5 are connected to HDMI inputs on the receiver

I have the Sony Ht-zf9 soundbar, I can not hear the difference between 7.1 and 7.2/4,
I only know that to hear the Dolby Atmos track I have to connect the A5 directly to the soundbar on the Hdmi 1 or 2 port but not to the Arc port.

atmos on a soundbar is in any case ridiculous ! as per definition atmos needs more speakers !

No Soundbars sound as good as discrete speakers. The only one I have heard that gives Atmos or DTS-X height and surround is the Yamaha ysp-5600 which has 6 upward firing speakers on each side, coupled with a decent subwoofer it makes a big powerful soundstage for its size. Its not cheap though ....
